The Vorarlberger energy service provider illwerke vkw sets new architectural and ecological standards with its new water-power competence centre in Vandans, Montafon (Austria). The IZM, which is 120 m long, 14 m wide and 21 m high, has been designed by architect Hermann Kaufmann in the wood-modular construction system, tried and tested at the LifeCycle Tower by Cree. The building combines classical office architecture and engineering of modern timber constructions.
